2 Infinity and Beyond Birthday Party

It’s been a whirlwind these last couple of weeks here at Petit Delights! A couple of parties have kept us busy and praying for good weather! Thankfully, we were blessed with sunny skies!!

We had recently showed you a sneak peek into our “2 Infinity & Beyond” invite I had the pleasure of co-designing with FRESH CHICK DESIGN STUDIO for my son’s 2nd birthday. Here it is again to refresh your memories!

My son has loved the Toy Story movies ever since he started watching them and has become quite fond of Buzz Lightyear and if I showed ya’ll our house, you’d see we have had to accomodate Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang too! So when I started thinking about what kind of party we would have, it was immediate for me! My brain instantly started churning and I came up with a “Top Secret Mission/Buzz/To Infinity & Beyond” theme! My business partner and photog-in-crime, Joanna brilliantly came up with the idea of switching the “To” to “2”….it was brilliant!!!

After that I started looking through our favorite vendors to decorate the party. I started with the balloon decorations and wanted to carry the theme throughout…so we had Nora from UP UP & AWAY BALLOON CREATIONS build an entrance arch with a Buzz Lightyear, an alien and a rocket shooting “2 Infinity & Beyond!”

Buzz Lightyear and an alien were up front to great guests as they arrived!

UP UP & AWAY also created this balloon arch to accentuate the backdrop of our dessert table! I want to thank all the vendors that made this party such a huge success (Wind factor need not be included!) The fabulous banner and rocket tags were from SOUTHERN BELLE’S CHARM. Natalie did such a fantastic job working with the theme colors; her rockets were out of this world! Next we have poms (or meteors as I envisioned them) from ADDI JAI POMS. The poms’ colors were so vibrant and they were so delicate that I felt bad when the wind was doing a number on them!

Here’s a close-up shoot of SOUTHERN BELLE’S CHARM work; it was a beautiful banner!!

Some other goodies we had were the decadent marshmallows from HAVE IT SWEET LLC. If you haven’t tasted these babies yet, they are a must! In the backround you can also take a look at the push cupcakes we had for the children from local bakery, SUGARBABY’S! They were a HUGE hit!!!

Also from SUGARBABY’S were vanilla on vanilla and lemon cupcakes! YUMMMM! Our sweet dessert table also featured rocket cookies from TEE CEE’S CREATIVE COOKIES! They were divine! Rocket rice krispie pops and Toy Story character Pez candies also made an appearance!

From the Petit Delight’s kitchen, we had chocolate-covered oreos and pretzels in the coordinating Buzz Lightyear colors! They were yummy! I had to taste-test everything right?!!! I think I gained 5 lbs. that day,:)

Also from the Petit Delight’s kitchen, we had a savory/sour table! Yes, I know, YUMMM! The stars of that table were the tamarindo-covered apples! Also on that table, we had skewered-tropical fruit like watermelon, mango, jicama and pineapple!

And the FAB-U-LOUS cake from 3 BROTHERS BAKERY! These cake designers followed my lead to the t! We had to use my son’s toys but they brought my vision to life following the box-under-theme I had going through the party!

UP UP & AWAY also did these alien cake pops for our dessert table! The heat did a number on them too but they toughed it out! Ooooooooh!

Did I mention how talented the UP UP & AWAY team is??? They also custom built this incredible Buzz Light year pinata!! Don’t worry, he was too awesome to get swung at so we only let the children hit the Rocket pinata!!

Here it is!!! The SERGIO LIGHTYEAR candy-filled pinata! How awesome is it that it had his name on there!!! Everyone loved it!! And hitting it too!!

For entertainment, I decided to have these wonderful bubbles for the older children and a few adults that wanted to get in them too! Ya’ll know who you are!!! They were so much fun! And ask who else wanted to get in there????

My 2 year old! Yes! I almost had a nervous break down but of course my husband said it was okay! He was so brave while they were inflating that bubble; he didn’t even want to get out!! BUBBLE RUNNERS did an amazing job and everyone enjoyed rolling in the water like hamsters!!

Here’s a view of the entire party and the Toy Story themed bouncy house we had for the little ones!

To sing the birthday song, we had some very special guests arrive! Woody and Buzz! They did a great show for the children alongside a cute clown! Can you see my son in the middle of the picture? He was fascinated making me a happy momma!

His favorite: Buzzzzzz!

The Lightyear Family (too bad I wasn’t wearing my Buzz shirt yet) My hubby, my son Sergio and I right before he was going to blow out his candle!

Here is a better shot of the birthday boy and his Buzz Lightyear shirt! (Courtesy of MakMay Designs) with his grandpa!

I had such a blast having this party for my son! Everyone was so helpful! Shout-out to Joanna Garcia and the hubs, my family, in-laws and the Contreras family! Without you, I couldn’t have pulled it off! I <3 you!!

I hope ya’ll enjoy looking at these pics as I have!

This has been asked but I didn’t see an answer as to which company you used for the characters. I’d really appreciate if you can share this. My son’s bday is in 3 weeks and I can’t find a company with a decent looking costume and I like yours. Thanks in advance
