Carnival Themed Birthday: Mia

We had so much fun this past weekend! Amongst clowns, balloons, cotton candy and rides, I felt like a child all-over again. This carnival party was full of smiles and fun. We had the privilege of planning the entire event and felt incredibly happy, as did our client, with how it all turned out. Especially considering Houston weather, keeping the party outdoors gave this party a real carnival atmosphere!

Voila! Here are some pictures of Mia’s Fabulous Carnival Celebration!

Our dessert table was filled with massive amounts of goodies!

The delicious chocolate and strawberries-filled chocolate cake was a favorite of the party girl! Needless to say the banana, vanilla, chocolate and red velvet “popcorn” cupcakes flew like the wind! These yummies, both cake and cupcakes, were from our favorite Houston bakery, Dacapo’s Pastry Cafe.

Also from Dacapo’s, were the scrumptious chocolate pecan, peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies!

The beautiful Oreo pops by Sweeties by Kim were featured not only on our dessert table but the guest sign-in table!

We also featured a newbie in the dessert table world….the rice krispie pop made by our dear friend Arianda Leal.

From the Petit Delights kitchen came the chocolate covered pretzels and oreos in the party’s color palette!

To accentuate our gorgeous dessert table, we used the awesome Anders Ruff Custom Designs printables & a custom Happy Birthday banner and pinwheels from Crossroads Cottage.

And of course there was goody bags for the kids.

From the printables package, we were able to create a Message book placed at the gift table.

Here is a view of the party! Doesn’t it look fun?!

Part of the package included a centerpiece design; we used all kinds of party noise makers, swirl pops, tamarindo pops and some of Crossroads Cottage’s pinwheels to fill popcorn tubs. We also tied carnival animal helium balloons! That monkey was too cute!

Now to the entertainment and fun! A carnival party would not be a carnival without rides! Mia enjoyed riding on a pony, a trackless train, a mini-ferris wheel and mini-carousel!

To entertain the crowd, Sweetie the clown and Moonbeam the balloon artist delighted with their creations! And let’s not forget Roly! He was the stilt walker greeting the guests!

Before the caterer arrived, guests enjoyed freshly popped popcorn and cotton candy! Yummm!

A children’s party wouldn’t be a party without a bouncy or a piñata! Carousels for the carnival!

The party was such a success and the Soliz family was so embracing, we felt like we were part of the family. We want to thank them for letting us plan this carnival sensation!

Check out the diva leaving her party in style!

I saw the ideas and I love it. This is the theme for my Halloween party this year, I plan on making it similar but with a creepier/sexy theme.

Gorgeous. I plan to do a carnival theme for my Halloween party this year. I plan to make it a little more twisted though.
