This is our very first event under Petit Delights. This my childhood best friend’s baby shower. Her name is Sayra. Her and I have a very special relationship; we’re like sisters in a way so when she told me she was pregnant for the second time, I was counting away the days when we would find out the sex of the baby so I could start planning her shower! On one of my monthly diaper run to Babies R’ Us, I kept noticing that monkeys and giraffes were increasingly popular…so when Sayra told me she was having a boy I knew I’d be choosing from the animal kingdom. When I proposed the options to her, she immediately went for the giraffe! Which I was glad because I was hoping to have some extra color in the color palette. Yay for yellow! I got to researching, made several trips to Hobby Lobby and Michaels, High Fashion Fabrics (fabulous selection of fabrics in Houston) and dove into the infinite candy selection of the internet. Thankfully, I also found PoshGirlBoutique on Etsy and she did a fabulous job on the invites and the printables.

Swizzle sticks and chocolate covered pretzel rods were a hit!
The dessert bar also featured meringues, caramel popcorn and gumballs!
The stars of the giraffe-themed baby shower were the delicious pineapple preserves-fille cupcakes. All printables were provided by PoshGirlBoutique found on Etsy!
The delicious favors were chocolate covered oreos in chocolate and peanut butter flavors!
And of course, our handmade giraffe centerpieces…aren’t they cute?
